The last couple of days has peaked in pollen count. Even though I'm theoretically only allergic to mold, the high pollen counts have caused my frontal sinus to close down nearly completely. I can tell when its fully closed as that is when I have a strong sinus headache. Fortunately its not fully closed, but my sinus tissue is reacting strongly causing lots of mucus and coughing. This is of course nothing unusual for victims of chronic sinusitis.
What makes it unusual is that I only have 1 or 2 days a month where sinus inflammation driven by allergies is moderate. The rest of the month the inflammation ranges from strong to very strong. I hope the stent will allow my sinus to drain more consistently and perhaps my allergy driven symptoms will subside to some degree. Many years ago I experienced inflammation only a few days a month, but the symptoms have progressively deteriorated so now I'm sort of hyper-sensitive to almost any environmental change.
Do any of you have this type of hyper sensitivity?
